Portage Soccer Club and Kalamazoo Soccer Club teams enjoyed some early action at the Celery Cup Friendlies on Sunday August 26 at the Portage Soccer Complex. For the second year in a row, PSC teams brought home the Cup by winning more scrimmages than our friends to the north. Yet as symbolized by the longevity of the Celery in the Cup, the real goal is just to have some fun and show some good skill and effort while kicking off the new season. Congratulations to all who participated (congratulations also to the Portage City Council who avenged last year's defeat and won the shootout with the Kalamazoo City Commission).
